School of Economics Hosts Meeting with Partner Institutions for Digital Economy Program

On the afternoon of November 10, 2025, the School of Economics solemnly hosted a meeting with partner institutions for the China-Russia 3+1Digital Economy Program in the International Academic Lecture Hall. Attendees included Mr. Dmitry Vasilenko, Vice President of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics; Mr. Jin Yi, Vice President; Zhang Liguo, Dean of the School of Economics; Zou Chunfa, Party Secretary; and all students of the Class of 2025. The meeting was chaired by Yuan Cuiping, Deputy Party Secretary.

In his address, Mr. Dmitry Vasilenko emphasized the enduring friendship between China and Russia, encouraging students to actively engage in bilateral cooperation and contribute to deepening exchanges between the two nations. He provided a detailed overview of the program's distinctive educational features and curricular strengths.


Dean Zhang Liguo emphasized that this program serves as a vital platform for the university to advance international talent development, providing students with premium global educational resources. He noted that since its inception, the program has consistently focused on cultivating professionals with an international perspective. He encouraged students to cherish this opportunity, urging them to strengthen their academic foundations while actively improving language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills to fully prepare for their studies in Russia.


Mr. Jin Yi provided a comprehensive overview of Saint Petersburg State University of Economics' campus environment, teaching facilities, talent development system, and campus culture. He highlighted the significant employment advantages graduates of the program enjoy in fields such as international trade and financial services. He also revealed that the university will regularly arrange for Russian faculty to teach on campus, helping students adapt to the Russian teaching model in advance.


In his concluding remarks, Secretary Zou Chunfa emphasized that talents possessing bilingual Chinese-Russian proficiency and a global perspective will lead future trends. He encouraged students to seize opportunities in the digital age, focus on their studies, and strive to enhance their comprehensive qualities and professional capabilities.


During the interactive session, students actively asked questions about language preparation, credit recognition, and overseas living, creating a lively atmosphere.


The meeting concluded successfully with in-depth exchanges. Students unanimously expressed that the event provided a comprehensive understanding of the program's curriculum design, training model, and development prospects. They pledged to plan their studies in advance according to program requirements, fully leverage international platform resources, and continuously enhance their professional expertise and comprehensive capabilities.

Subsequently, an orientation meeting was held for the Class of 2023 Digital Economy (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education) program. Representatives from the partner institution discussed arrangements for the fourth-year study period at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and answered students' inquiries.
